At the Interzoo pet trade fair in Nuremberg in May, Weenect, the French market leader in GPS trackers for dogs and cats, and Julius-K9, one of the leading European manufacturers of dog harnesses, will launch their first joint product: the Weenect XT - a dog GPS collar with high-performance antenna technology, extra-long battery life and a powerful LED light.

Specially developed for dogs that love the most extreme adventures, the Weenect XT proves to be a safe partner, especially in environments that are difficult for GPS trackers to reach, such as forests and mountains. This is made possible by the new antenna technology, which enables 99% coverage within Europe.
“The high demand for a longer battery life has spurred us on to develop a tracker that is suitable for both large and small dogs in terms of weight. With the particularly long battery life of up to three weeks, trekking trips lasting several weeks are now possible without having to worry about recharging the tracker,” says Ferdinand Rousseau, co-founder and responsible for product development at Weenect.
The Weenext XT is equipped with a Thales GPS module, which gives access to all current satellite systems (GPS, Galileo, Beidou and Glonass). This makes tracking particularly accurate. And because seconds are crucial when searching for a pet, Weenect is the only GPS manufacturer that provides a new GPS position every second, with no distance limit.
Another highlight of the new tracker is the powerful LED light signal. This is twice as strong as that of conventional trackers and allows the dog to be located visually even in the dark.
The Weenect XT tracker is supplied with a collar specially developed by Julius-K9, which can withstand tensile forces of up to 235 kg. At 54.2 grams, the tracker itself is suitable for any dog. A neck circumference of 37.5 to 56.5 cm is required - a standard measurement for most dog breeds.
The GPS tracker is easy to operate with the Weenect app, available for iOS and Android. Functions such as recall training thanks to sound and vibration signals via GPS or activity tracking are particularly interesting for active dogs who love to explore.
“Over the decades, we at Julius-K9 have learned the importance of scientific research, experience and a total commitment to our goals in designing quality products. The idea to develop a joint product with Weenect came from a meeting where we quickly realized that we shared the same mindset. The resulting Weenect JK9 collar is certainly only the first milestone in the collaboration between our two brands,” explains Julius Sebő, founder of Julius-K9.
In order to curb the overproduction of plastic and electronic devices and to reduce waste production, Weenect offers a lifetime guarantee on its Weenect XT. The company is aware of the high quality of its product and wants to counteract the trend of constantly buying new products. The lifetime warranty covers both manufacturing defects and natural wear and tear of the product. Customers send in the device, which is then repaired or replaced in the event of irreparable damage. Loss or misuse by the customer is not covered.
The Weenect XT is delivered fully packed in cardboard. The packaging is produced in France to reduce the company's CO2 footprint.
